Just announced Google Chromecast
This dongle has huge potential for those of us in visual sales.
What is it?
Chromecast is a small inexpensive pocket-size device, only $35 (sold out first day). Pocket size it is a little larger than a USB memory stick that plugs into an open HDMI port on your Hi Def Flatscreen TV or multimedia center.
What does it do?
From your tablet or smart phone or PC/MAC… it will wirelessly stream video and apps like Netflix or Youtube to the attached flat-screen. This includes images/videos with sound and regular documents pushed from the chrome browser. So eventually everything on your small screen tablet, smartphone or PC/Mac is cast to the a quick plug and play attached big screen for a full multi media presentation in minutes.
Sales Uses?
If you have the vision and a clever tech/graphics staff including an interactive robust Cloud operation. You have Sales Rep friendly Plug and Play Simple presentations.
You can show all and any media you produce almost instantly, anywhere. Be it your Ecatalogs, video presentations, sales flyers/PDF’s, documents, spreadsheets, reports including those last minute changes/updates to any sales presentation anywhere using a cloud connected tablet/smartphone you already own to any attached flat-screen HDMI TV.
I am very interested in testing this with or with and without out an internet connection.
